# Deploying Your Campaign

> Approve your campaign plan, push it to Meta, and go live with your first ad campaign.

Once you're happy with your AI-generated campaign plan, deploying it to Meta is a three-step process: approve, create, and activate.

## Step-by-step deployment

<Steps>
  <Step title="Approve the plan">
    On the campaign plan results page, click **Approve Plan**. This confirms you're satisfied with the strategy, targeting, and budget.

    After approval, the button changes to **Create Campaign on Meta**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the campaign on Meta">
    Click **Create Campaign on Meta**. AdAdvisor will:

    1. Create the campaign in your Meta ad account
    2. Set up the ad set with the targeting from your plan
    3. Configure the budget and bid strategy

    The campaign is created in a **Paused** state. Nothing is spending money yet.

    <Info>
      This step talks directly to the Meta Ads API. It typically takes a few seconds. You'll see a confirmation once it's done.
    </Info>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate the campaign">
    When you're ready to go live, click **Activate Campaign**. This changes the campaign status from Paused to Active on Meta.

    Your campaign is now live and will start serving ads.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Verifying your campaign is live

After activation, AdAdvisor checks with Meta to confirm the campaign is actually running. You'll see the plan status update to **Live** on the results page.

<Warning>
  Before activating, make sure your ad account has a valid payment method set up in Meta. If there's no payment method, Meta won't deliver your ads even though the campaign is active.
</Warning>

## Can I edit the campaign after deploying?

Once a campaign is created on Meta, you can make changes in two places:

* **Meta Ads Manager**: Full editing control over every campaign setting
* **AdAdvisor Ads Manager**: View performance and apply AI recommendations as they come in

AdAdvisor will start tracking the campaign's performance as soon as the next data sync runs. Once you have enough data, you can [generate recommendations](/docs/user-guide/how-recommendations-work) to optimize it further.
